This year GN’s OLAS is bringing back Latin Night! For the first time since before the COVID era, OLAS is hosting Latin Night. It is on March 22 from 6-9 PM in GN’s cafeteria. The last time Latin Night was hosted was in 2019. There will be Latin music all night like cumbia, salsa, bachata, tribal and much more!

The OLAS members are really excited for Latin Night. Michelle Cardoso, ‘25, said, “I’m really excited since it’s been a while. My older sister told me about it and all the things that happen, and since I love to dance. I’m really looking forward to enjoying the night with my friends.” Cardoso continued, “We didn’t get to host Latin Night last year, so it feels good knowing that I’ll be able to experience it before I graduate.”
To those who are unsure about what Latin Night will actually consist of, Cardoso said, “Latin Night is somewhat like a homecoming event. For instance, as a dancer in OLAS, we will perform our dances, and then for the rest of the night, Latin music will be played for the students to enjoy.” She also added that students from all four Glenbards are welcome to attend. Each GN student is allowed to bring one guest from the other Glenbards and just needs to pick up a permission slip from the Dean’s Office, just like for Homecoming or Prom.
